DofE Gold Award Celebrations

Very excited to announce that I’ll be attending the 70th Gold Award Celebrations at Buckingham Palace, over May Half Term. Having supported the DofE for 6 years, I’m looking forward to networking with those who have been invited to the DofE Gold Awards celebrations.

Venue & Atmosphere: Events in London transform the Buckingham Palace Garden into a festival, featuring live music, games, and appearances by celebrities.

Royal Attendance: Events are attended by members of the Royal Family, with HRH The Duke of Edinburgh hosting recent celebrations.

Celebration Highlights: Attendees can hear speeches from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and inspirational figures, as well as share their personal stories of achievement.

Invitations: Young people who achieve their Gold Award are invited to attend, typically receiving their certificate via post beforehand in recent years.

Looking Forward to the DofE Gold Award Celebrations

With the DofE Gold Award celebrations approaching, there is already a growing sense of excitement and anticipation.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Gold Award is recognised as one of the most rewarding challenges young people can undertake. Completing the programme requires commitment, resilience, and determination across volunteering, physical activity, skills development, expeditions, and residential experiences. Recognising the Journey

As a part of completing their gold award journey, participants have completed 12 months for each section which involves: Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and an Expedition.
