Using ABRSM’s examining board, starting at grade 1, you’ll be working your way up to grade 5 which will allow you to complete ABRSM’s grades 6,7,8 practical exams. Groups and individual sessions available.

Hello, my name is Alex Partington. I teach full time from Sunday to Thursday 6:30pm. I tailor each lesson to suit you as an individual as it’s not necessarily all about completing grades. What do you want to learn? I can comfortably cover a range of topics, electric, classical, acoustic, bass or music theory.
You can also learn online – it’s perfect whether you’ve been playing a while or you’re just starting out. The difference here is that it’s all interactive and with no pre-recorded videos and tailored to suit you. Book an introductory to find out more.
You can learn for fun or for grades and you’re never too old to take an exam. You’re of course welcome to learn for fun, this is absolutely fine. I’m currently using Trinity Rock & Pop / RSL for electric guitar, Trinity for classical guitar and ABRSM for music theory & piano.
