Build Confidence
Learning the classical guitar is a more formal approach but with similar techniques to that of finger-style guitar. You’ll learn how to read music, engage with music theory and really start to master the fretboard. You’ll begin to understand how to play the same note but in different places across the fretboard.
DofE – New skill
Completing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award through Bronze, Silver, and Gold is a great way to build confidence, resilience, and independence. The Skills section encourages you to develop a new ability over time, helping you set goals, stay committed, and track your progress.

30, 45 or 60 mins?
In person, online or ‘on demand’?
Deciding whether to have a 30, 45 or 60 minute lesson depends on where you’re at with your guitar playing. If you’re a complete beginner, you’ll be fine with 30 minutes which is enough time to get used to the feeling of playing guitar and expectations. You’ll usually be expected to upgrade to 45 or 60 minutes if you’re completing or starting out on your graded exams or you’re finding half an hour just isn’t enough time. Either way, the 30, 45 or 60 minute fee is x by 41 lessons / 12 months.
