Bronze award
30 minute guitar lessons whether online, in person or a mix would be suitable if you’re a beginner. You’ll be developing your rhythm, dexterity, song structure and knowledge whether you choose to learn, acoustic, bass, classical or electric guitar.
intermediate/advanced
45 minute lessons are more suitable if you’ve played before and perhaps feel that half hour will be too short. You’re focused and have goals; Duke of Edinburgh, reigniting a new hobby, you’re studying for your Music GCSE performances, completing your grades.
Bronze or silver tuition
You’ll either be completing your grades 5-8 or becoming what’s called ‘gig ready’. You’re either depping for a band, wanting to audition for a particular genre, completing your higher grades, or achieving your bronze, silver or gold DofE. Learn online or in person.
Learn 30 + songs.
Not just songs
A 60 minute lesson each week gives time to work on full set preparation which includes starting and finishing songs cleanly, smooth transitions, counting in, endings, tempo control and what to do when things go wrong. These are the skills that actually matter on stage and are often rushed or missed in shorter lessons creating that ‘on stage’ mind set. You might auditioning, promoting your own material, depping, creating a band from scratch.
Technique, repertoire & confidence
With a full hour, lessons can be structured to include warming up and developing that on stage preparation mind set. You’ll focus on songs to performance standard with set lists, allowing the time to play through material without stopping. This builds stamina and stage confidence with rehearsed muscle memory. Important ingredients that are essential for being gig & performance ready. Available whether online or in person.
Feel ready
60 minute lessons allow you to be audition or gig ready with light pressure. Playing entire songs or sets without stopping which mirrors real gig conditions and highlights weaknesses. This helps players move from ‘at home practice’ to performing with confidence and being gig ready. Whether you’re depping as a guitarist, an original artist, a singer-song writer, or auditioning, you’ll be glad you’ve prepped when the show begins!
Strings are to be provided by you.
