    Within the first three months and assuming your skills are a bit rusty, you can expect to have improved your chord strength and co-ordination and perhaps even a tune or two.

    Within the following three months, you’ll have learned how to practice and your routine established.  You’ll be transitioning guitar chords smoothly and quickly. Whilst rhythm being less of a effort to understand too.

    When delivering 30 minute lessons for the DofE, you’ll focus on developing your finger stamina, chord knowledge and some theory. At least half hour’s additional practice is required to compete either your bronze, silver or gold.

    60 minute lessons will be a mixture of guitar and theoretical learning. Using ABRSM’s grade 1 music theory workbook, general music theory knowledge will advance as will your guitar playing skills. Additional practice time is also expected.
